Meet the 2024 Banana Bunch!

    As I sit here and write this currently snowed in with about 6 inches of snow and ice in Tennessee, spring training has officially started in Savannah, GA, which can only mean one thing- another season of Bananaball is on the horizon! That means there's a whole new team of guys to get to know and love, and I'm here to introduce them to you! There are a lot of familiar faces, a few missing faces, and a handful of new ones!

    We know him. We love him. The one, the only, and back again for his 7th season behind the plate- #1- Bill Leroy;

    Newcomer this season, he will hopefully make an impact to the outfield- #2- Reese Alexiades;

    Last season he primarily played as 1st baseman or catcher, he's is back again for another season- #3- Eric Jones Jr.;

    Resident rodeo clown, infielder and pitcher#4- Mat Wolfe;

    We'll be seeing more backflips in centerfield with the return of the "Doctor"- #5- DR Meadows;

    After setting a new record for number of trick plays in a season, it only makes sense that the gloved magician is back in the infield this year with the Bananas...but can he beat his record again?-#6- Ryan Cox;

    A valuable member of the infield and outfield, he'll have the chance to inspire kids with another jersey that will be filled with their autographs once again- #7- Michael Deeb;

    The greatest showman is back in yellow and ready to try foods from all over the country and film TikTok trends during games once again, the ultimate Taylor Swift fan- #8- Jackson Olson;

    The heartthrob of the bananas is back and ready for another season of weigh-ins, dancing, and diving catches once again- #9- Noah Bridges;

    Trickster extraordinaire, world record holder, and Banana favorite- #10- Alex Ziegler

    Another newcomer this year, he will make an incredible addition to the infield- #11- Gabe Howell;

    Battery-mate to LeRoy and back for his 7th season, fans will be glad to see him back in yellow and white- #12- Kyle Luigs;

    The songbird of the team is back to sing his heart out and play ball while doing it- #13- Dalton Mauldin;

    The tallest athlete in baseball, "Stilts" is ready to show once again that size doesn't always matter;#14- Dakota Albritton;

    Known as RAC, another addition to the infield- #15- Robert Anthony Cruz;

    Utility player and an extremely valuable player- #17- Brandon Crosby;

    "Danny do it all" is back and looking to play all 9 positions once again, but can he do them all in one single game?- #18- Danny Hosley;

    Powerhouse that is the go to for home run derbies for the Bananas- #19- Dan Oberst;

    The pitcher that dominates on the mound but shows the smallest effort during "Hey Baby" or any other dances, but we all absolutely love him- #21- Jared Donalson;

    Another newcomer this year, he's ready to make an impact on the mound as a pitcher- #22- Austin Krzeminski;

    There are so many Taylor Swift jokes I could make about this one, but The Archer is ready to strike out everyone he faces- #24- Andy Archer;

    "Mr. Electric" is ready to heat up the mound for another year- #25- Christian Dearman;

    Came in towards the end of last year but easily made a huge impact on the mound- #29- Zack Phillips;

    Newcomer this year, he's ready to strike out everyone he sees- #37- Ethan Skuija;

    Resident Canadian, pitcher, #49- Ryan Kellogg;

    Probably my personal favorite addition to the year, his name is fun to say and he'll make a huge difference on the mound- #88- Noah Niznik;

    "The Invader", absolutely dominates on the mound- #91- DJ Roberts;

    "Flash the Kid" and son of Olympic medal sprinter, Mitchell is back as the pinch runner again this year- #🗲- Malachi Mitchell.

    Adam Virant and Tyler Gillam are coaching the Bananas again this year, and they're joined by Ray Ortega to try to overcome a disappointing season loss last year. The 2024 season will see them face off against the Party Animals, newcomers The Firefighters, and the team from down under- The Aussie Drop Bears. There will be games at 6 different Major League stadiums, and the epic finale to the season is a 5 day cruise to the Bahamas. The year promises to be epic, and I can't wait to see what happens.
